FAQ: Soulgivers
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

Why should I pledge now?

First, we need your help to produce the game and then reach the stores! Second, we understand we are asking you to really help us and support us and for this reason we are offering the game with expansions and exclusives, at a lower price than you’ll ever see in the stores.

But that’s not all, for that lowered price we are also giving you a Kickstarter exclusive expansion for free: The Soulcrusher. This means that you won’t be able to purchase the Soulcrusher in stores in the future.

What's the difference between the CORE SET and the MAGNIFICENT DECAY pledge?

The CORE SET includes all you need to play Soulgivers. It includes all the 10 heroes you need to play and fight for the Fragment. It is the basic version of the game. It also includes a Kickstarter exclusive expansion as our gift to you. The Soulgivers expansions are extra and not strictly necessary to play the game; however it will allow you to personalize even more you team when playing. If you decide to play with one more expansions, you will have to replace one or more heroes from the Core Set with the expansion heroes. You always play with 10 characters only.

The MAGNIFICENT DECAY pledge includes everything the CORE SET does, plus another expansion: The Aeger. This means that you’ll have two new heroes to help you personalize your strategy, but you’ll still play with 10 heroes on your team. Unlike the Soulcrusher, the Aeger in not a Kickstarter exclusive expansion. This means that it will later be available in stores as well.

A Soulgiver expansion includes the Soulgiver card of the new hero for both the Shell and Specter, 2 Soulgivers (token), one for the Shell and one for the Specter, and 2 Souls, one for the Shell and one for the Specter. Each new hero has unique abilities that introduce new and unique Abilities, combos, and interactions. Each expansion substitutes a Soulgvier of your choice from the Core Set.

In which languages will Soulgivers be available? How can we have a translation of the game in my language?

At the end of the campaign, you’ll be asked to choose in which of the available languages you would like Soulgivers. At the moment, we have two options: Italian or English. This means that if you choose Italian, the game, the rulebook, and all the cards will be in Italian. The same goes with English. They are two separate versions.

However, depending on the number of backers that speak a specific language, we can make PDF translations of both the rulebook and the cards available. Right now, we reached enough French, German and Spanish backers for a PDF version of cards and rulebook in their languages.

This does not exclude other languages! It all depends on the number of backers.

If there are a lot of people backing us and requesting the game in same language, in addition to the PDF translation, we could possibly offer and produce the entire game in that language. However, it will have to be enough people to cover the costs of production in that language.

Will you use a pledge manager?

Yes! BackerKit is a backer survey and data management platform that helps crowdfunding creators send surveys, sell add-ons and pre-orders, and manage backer’s questions.

Why are the shipping costs so high for my country? Is there a way to lower the costs?

The costs you see in the chart are estimates. Moreover, shipping costs already include customs duties for all countries in the “friendly-shipping” area (EU, USA, ASIA, AU, CAN), so you won’t have to pay anything when you receive the game if you are from one of these areas. A dedicated badge on the page indicates all “friendly-shipping” areas.

There is a way to lower the cost and it merely depends on the number of backers from a specific country: the more backers, the more we could lower the costs.

You can also lower your shipping costs by making a group pledge with other people. You can find more information about about group pledges on our Kickstarter page.

Unfortunately, we do not ship to: Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Afghanistan.

Unfortunately, delivery outside of these locations might occur in extra charges due to customs duty. Please check the rules and regulations on importing goods to your region before your pledge.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
